Annapurna Base Camp Trek is probably the best legendary and classical treks in the world. ABC Trek offers breathe stopping view of Mountain and gives opportunity to experience the typical Nepali village, local people and their way of living traditional life in Himalayas in Nepal. The Annapurna Base Camp Trekking Route goes through the spectacular and tranquil landscape, charming Gurung and Magar villages, lush green Rhododendron, bamboo and alpine forests to the final destination, Annapurna Base Camp at the height of 4,130m (13546ft).

Natural Experience

The trail is a delight for natural experiences. One can experience a sunshine view and mountain vista through the Poon hill. Mount Dhaulagiri, The Annapurna Range and Mount Machhapuchhre to the northern part and the Butterfly peaks in the far western part is all visible from the top of the Poon Hill. Finding yourself in the base of giant Annapurna with 360 degree mountainous view is terrifically beautiful that is beyond your imagination that is an unforgettable lifetime mountain holiday experience in Nepal.

Hot Spring

Near Jhinu Danda, there is a natural hot spring when you can cleanse yourself spiritually in natural hot springs with bathing area in the lap of the mountain. The local people have a belief that the water of hot springs have healing capacity and that takes away your pains and aches.

Peoples and Culture

The local peoples we will encounter in Annapurna Base Camp Trek route are of mixed ethnic groups: There are Brahmins and Chhetris in the lower region and going upward we will find Mongoloid Himalayan People. Mostly there are Gurung and Magar peoples in this area, famous for Gurkha regiment. We can learn about their culture and tradition and their link to the Himalayas.

Getting in ABC and away

Like the most Annapurna Treks except Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp also starts and ends in Pokhara – Second largest city of Nepal and naturally blessed place to relax. Pokhara is 200km west of Kathmandu – The Capital City. One can reach to pokhara by private vehicles/Public vehicles or via. Domestic flights. It takes 7-8 hours’ drive by tourist bus. The local buses departs from Kathmandu in every one hour till 3pm.

Best Seasons to Trek

Autumn season (from mid-September to November) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons to trek to Annapurna Base Camp. For the keen botanists, the monsoon season (June to August) is the best period. During the hike, it offers grand spectacles of blooming Rhododendron during the month of March, April and May. The view of Mount Dhaulagiri with the rising sun shining on it is one of the superb views of this trek. If you like to avoid the crowd than you are recommended to trek in winter (December to February). The temperature is cold in the morning but not unbearable and is warm during day hike and clear sky with fantastic views.

Day 01:  Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. We well be there in Tribhuwan International Airport to warmly welcome you. You will be transferred to the hotel and Introduced to our guides.In dinner, you will be served authentic Nepali cuisine which will introduce you to the country’s food culture. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (900 m).
After having breakfast, we’ll drive to Pokhara – The second largest City of Nepal. We’ll have lunch on the way. Experiencing the breath stopping views from the bus we’ll reach to pokhara within 7 hours. Dinner at hotel in Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m). About 3 hours of easy walk.
After having breakfast, we will start our trip. We’ll drive to Nayapul on a private vehicle and from Nayapul, Our trek starts. After 15- minutes’ walk along the bank of Modi khola we reach Birethanti . from there the trail continues through the village and follows north bank of Bhurungdi Khola. After climbing up from Hille, we reach to Tikhedhunga. Dinner and Overnight Stay in the Guest House.

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m). 5-7 hours walk.
We move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri, The large Magar Village. The trail ascends more gently from this point, through the fine forests of oak and rhododendrons, toward Banthanti. Then we trek towards the Nangethanti. After an hour walk from Nangethanti  we will arrive Ghorepani. Overnight at a Guest House, Dinner Included.

Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m). 5-6 hours walk.
Very early in the morning, we start our hiking to Poon Hill at an elevation of 3,210 m, a brilliant mountain range spectacle; this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about 1 hour and return to the Ghorepani, here we take a hot breakfast. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through the pine and rhododendron forests, towards Deurali.Then, we descend to Banthanti, then turn off to Tadapani. Overnight stay and dinner at Guest House.

Day 06: Trek to Chomrong (2,140 m). 4-5 hours.
Today we start with a steep downhill through the Rhododendron forests. After that, we descend through the forests reach the Gurung village ‘ Gurjung’. From here its easy walk to Chomrong. Dinner and overnight stay at Guest House.

Day 07: Trek to Dovan (2,630 m). About 5 hours walk.
The trail descends down about 310 meter through thousands of stone staircase crosses then crosses Chomrong Khola on bridge and climb up to Sinuwa ( 2340m). It is easy walk through rhododendron forest with orchids and ferns and then steep down with stone staircase to Bamboo. After having lunch there we walk through the cool forest about an hour to Dovan(2630m). Dinner in Dovan. Overnight stay in lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Deurali (3230m).  6-7 hours walk.
Today we have a silence jungle walk to Himalaya from Dovan. Peoples believes that Mountain are sacred and Holy. As it is already believed that Annapurna means ‘full of food’ and some worships Annapurna As Goddess of Harvest. So from the religious point of view it is important to create a peaceful environment throughout the walk and respect the Mother Nature. Dinner at Deurali. Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 09: Trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) (4130m). 5-6 hours walk.
In this trail you can enjoy the view of Mount HIunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7229m.), Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Gangapurna (7454m.) and Machhapuchhare(6997m). The path follows alpine forests. After the short trek, you begin to approach Annapurna Base Camp (4170m). From here you can see the breath stopping panaromic views of several peaks which are all so clear. The views here will give you so clear pictures that will linger in your memories for as long as it takes. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge.

Day 10: Trek down to Dovan- Bamboo (2310m) 6-7 hours walk
After enjoying brilliant mountain view and having light breakfast we trek down to Dovan or Bamboo via deurali and himalaya. We take lunch on the way. Dinner and Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 11: Trek to Jhinu ( 1780 m) 6-7 hours walk.
From bamboo we walk through pleasant jungle to Sinuwa then head down to Chomrong Khola and walk up to Upper Chomrong then steep down to Jhinu. After having launch there we book rooms and go down to hot spring. It takes about 20 minutes. Enjoy the bath at natural hot water spring and back to lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara.
After breakfast we trek back to Nayapul. It takes about 4-5 hours walking., then we drive to Pokhara by Private Vehicle. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu.
After having breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu enjoying the brilliant views of landscapes. Lunch on the way. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure Day
We will transfer you to the Tribhuwan International Airport after having Lunch and see you off.
