Hindus believes that this temple is an incarnation of Lord Bishnu while Buddhists belives Muktinath as place of Dakinis (goddess known as Sky Dancer). There are 108 taps and two sacred ponds; one for washing your body and another for cleaning your soul. It is believed that all the bad deeds of person will be washed away by the water of 108 taps.
