Bardiya Jungle Safari
Bardiya National Park is second popular destination for
Jungle Safari in Nepal after Chitwan National Park. Bardiya being far from the
major tourist hub; Kathmandu and Pokhara is not explored by many Tourists.
Bardiya National Park is located in the lowlands of western Nepal. It consists
of almost same floral and faunal diversity as that of Chitwan National
Park.This wild life reserve is hme for many endangered animals like Royal
Bengal Tiger, Wild Elephant, Rhinoceros, Swamp Deer, Black Buck, Gharial and
Maggar Crocodiles Gangetic Dolphins etc. This is also home for more than 407
species of birds.
Bardiya Jungle safari is the best opportunity to observe the
animal and birds in their natural habitat. One can encounter wild elephants,
rhinoceros, deers etc animals and amny species of birds throughout the safari.
Jungle safari in Bardiya is one of the adventurous and thrilling way to watch
the wildlife in their natural habitat. There are several remote watch towers
which increase the safety and the probability of seeing the animals and birds.
Waiting on these towers increases the chance of spotting the animals and birds.
Seeing Royal Bengal Tiger is quite difficult as tigers are nocturnal anima ls
and they come out only in the night time. Sometimes they walk on the daytime
also in the search of food and water. So fortunate people can see Royal Bengal
Tiger.
Jungle Safari in Bardiya is the best way to explore the
large diversity of animals within the short time period. One can also observe
the cultures and lifestyle of Tharu community residing near the National Park.
You can go on Safari on Walk or riding Elephant or also by Rafting.
Elephant Safari
This is the interesting, safest and convenient way to
explore the jungle. You can see the animals like one horned rhino, hog deer,
spotted deer, swamp deer, monkeys blue bull etc. You can take the photographs
during the trip.
Karnali River Rafting
You can go for rafting in Karnali river. Here you may
explore the Crocodiles; Gharial and Maggars and the Dolphins. You can also swim
in the bank of Karnali River.
Jungle Walk
You can walk in this dense tropical forests with a
professional natural guide and explore many species of animals and birds. The
towers made in the remote area will help you to observe more species easily.
Village Walk
There are villages near Bardiya National Park. Mostly Tharu
Peoples resides there. So, one can learn about their cultures and lifestyles on
the trip.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will meet our representative immediately after arriving
to Tribhuwan International Airport who will transfer you to the hotel. You will
have enough time to prepare for the trip. Overnight stay in Kathmandu. Dinner
in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Drive to Bardiya National Park from Kathmandu.
We will drive very early morning from Kathmandu. It can be a
long but worthwhile journey to reach Bardiya by bus. You also have another
option i.e by flight but you have to take a bus from Nepalgunj anyway. So we
will reach there in our private vehicle. Overnight stay in Bardiya. Breakfast,
Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 03: Full day Jungle Activities
After having breakfast in the early morning, we go for
Elephant Ride (for one hour); an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime
experience on elephant’s back and observe the wildlife. Elephant ride is best
and convenient way to observe wildlife. Then we will have short visit to
Visitor’s Center where we can have additional knowledge about the national
park. Then we will explore Crocodile Breeding Center and Tharu museum before
having Lunch.After Lunch we will go for a walk inside the jungle. It is best
opportunity to explore the animals and birds. There are Machans (Tower) from
where we can explore more species of plants and animals easily. Overnight stay
in Bardiya. Dinner in Lodge/Guest house.
Day 04: Full Day Jungle Activities
After having breakfast in the early morning, we will go for
Tiger Tracking and Bird Watching. It is the great opportunity to see the Royal
Bengal Tigers and explore the various species of birds. Then after having lunch
we will go for Jeep Safari which gives you the chance to explore more floras
and faunas throughout the National Park. Then we will return to our hotel for
overnight stay. Dinner in Hotel.
Day 05: Return to Kathmandu
Early in the morning we will drive back to Kathmandu.
Enjoying the great view of landscapes we will reach Kathmandu. Overnight stay
and Dinner in Kathmandu.
Day 06: Final Departure
Today is our last day of short Bardiya Jungle Safari. We
will drop you to the International Airport before 3 hours of your scheduled
flight. We will be there to see you off with the hope of seeing you again.
