Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is
the famous and most sacred temple of lord Shiva situated in the bank of holy
river Bagmati. Especially in the occasion of Shivaraatri (Great festival of
Shiva devotees) the temple is crowded by the devotees of Shiva from all around
the world. The temple is located 100m east away from Tribhuwan International
Airport and 6 km west away from the heart of Kathmandu (Thamel). Most of the
time the temple is crowded by Indian hindu pilgrims and Hindu saints (Sadhus). Only
Hindus are allowed to enter the temple but non Hindus can enjoy the surrounding
scene of temple paying some tax. This is among the best tourist destination
located within the Kathmandu valley.
Muktinath Temple
Muktinath Temple
is the sacred temple of both Hindus and Buddhists pilgrims. This is located in
high altitude of 3,710m. Hindus believes that this temple is an incarnation of
Lord Bishnu while Buddhists belives Muktinath as place of Dakinis (goddess
known as Sky Dancer). There are 108 taps and two sacred ponds; one for washing
your body and another for cleaning your soul. It is believed that all the bad
deeds of person will be washed away by the water of 108 taps.
Most of the people visits this site for religious aspects
but Muktinath also offers the breath taking views of high mountain ranges
including Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri range. The way to Muktinath is also
full of natural beauties and great landscapes including green terrains. The flight
from Pokhara to Jomsom offers you the best scenario of snowcapped mountain
ranges while the drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara gives you outstanding views of
landscapes.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
[1,300m/4,264ft]. Transfer to hotel. Hotel overnight
Day 02/03: Full day Kathmandu
sightseeing tour including visits to major Hindu pilgrimage sites inside the
city Pashupatinath Temple, Budhanilkantha, Durbar Square of Kathmandu, The
Taleju Temple, Durbar Squares in Bhaktapur and Patan are the major attractions.
Hotel overnight
Day 04: Drive from Kathmandu to
Pokhara [823m/2,700ft] and visit the Manakamana Temple on the way. A short
sightseeing tour in the evening. Hotel overnight
Day 05: Full day sightseeing tour
in Pokhara including visits to major Hindu sites in the city. Back to hotel in
the evening and stay overnight
Day 06: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom [2,715m/8,910ft]
and then trek to Muktinath [3,800/12,467ft]. Hotel overnight
Day 07: Perform a Hindu Puja
[Worship] in Muktinath Temple and then drive back to Jomsom. Hotel overnight
Day 08: Fly back from Jomsom to
Pokhara and spend in leisure the rest of the time. Hotel overnight
